Unit24 Gallery is pleased to announce a group show ‘Bridges’. The exhibition is a collaboration of seven female artists coming together to create a culturally dynamic and international curation. They each approach similar issues in their own individual methods and languages. Emerging from places such as Spain, Iran, Korea, Lebanon, America, Libya and France – these seven artists have been eager to explore each others backgrounds and practices in order to intertwine their work in a shared space, for a short time. Being from the same generation, yet experiencing the world in different places, they share similar external influences and tackle contemporary issues in relation to the evolution of our world, politically or socially, along with its current status and questions of identity.

Unit24 Gallery is proud to present Takayuki Hara’s online show ‘The Imaginative Lines’ which will last from April, 9th till May 21st, 2013.
In his latest exhibition ‘The Imaginative Lines’ Takayuki Hara goes far beyond our routine perception of the surrounding environment. The artist presents us with an unusual approach towards society and challenges our imagination with painstakingly executed and duplicated images where shapes come coincidentally and without restrictions. Although his drawings are generally black and white, this time the artist also tries to introduce colour and digital input. Takayuki attempts to express the thoughts and feelings as they pass through his mind, without a usual structure but with enormous enjoyment of freedom. Instead of planning things he goes with the flow which results in fantastical and abstract imagery.

Art Deco Gallery and Russian Art Institute is pleased to present an exhibition ‘Demetre Chiparus and Russian Theatrical Decorative Art’. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings and sculptures from the private collection of Mkrtich Okroyan. Unit24 Gallery is proud to host this historical exhibition.
Unit24 Gallery and Maestro Foundation organized a charity art auction which took place during Forbes Great Ball 2013 at Hilton Hotel in Warsaw, Poland on January, 19th 2013.

‘A Shapeshifting World’ Takayuki Hara’s solo exhibition at Unit 24 is a collective display of Hara’s three year project “Shapeshifters”. Inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphosis, Hara started his project in 2009, he created a series of drawings and sculptures based on the idea of our ever-changing and fluid identity.

Art has to have two attributes: be provocative and possess strong visual symbol. If there is no provocation the social environment refers to art as a thing, an attribute of life. Art with strong visual symbolism always stands out. It overpowers its competitors in the same way that the alpha male dominates a wolf pack. In general art is a religion. Without faith in art it doesn’t exist. Without faith the collector doesn’t buy art. Everything is based on faith!
